I will be blogging about research I am conducting into Virtual Classrooms. In this research I will be looking at many aspects including:
- What is a Virtual Classroom?
- Who uses them?
- Why do they use them?
- What technology do they use?
- How do they overcome the barriers of not having a face to face experience?
And I will try to answer or investigate many other questions and issues.
Kineo the e-Learning company have produced an Overview of Virtual Classrooms. I found this a high quality starting point if you are interested and also introduces a few of the tools available to use including popular ones like WebEX.
I have also found a videp on YouTube by Edutopia which explains how High Schools are using them in USA to successfully support learning.
